SH3 Career Questions

I'm new to SH3 and this forum so if these questions have been addressed in other threads please accept my apologies.

I've started a career on a Type II-a boat operating out of Wilhelmshaven on September 1st 1939 and have just successfully completed my first mission, to patrol area AN47 of the North Sea off the coast of Scotland. I now have two questions:-

1. After returning to base how do you go about carrying out repairs to your boat?

2. When I select 'Missions' on the menu screen, looking for my next mission, the only mission available is a repeat of my first. Is this correct or is there (more than likely) something I'm overlooking?

Any help from you more experienced captains will be most welcome.
