I'm working on using the strategic map to create a freestanding map for each year (i.e., 1942, 1943) that locates each Japanese vessel sunk by US subs as closely as I can plot each. If this is saved as a graphics file (any type, .dds, .tga etc) is there someone who knows how to make this available in-game? It would be useful to be able to open it (maybe by clicking on an icon on the navigator table or some such) after one has gotten the assignment and in patrol to see where best 'pickings' would exist. For now we are only told to patrol 'shipping routes' with no guidance for where those are.
Of course, Ubisoft may not have used any historical shipping routes in the development of the game and all Japanese ships may appear completely at random with no relationship to historical routes. Does any modder close to the development of the game know the answer? No sense wasting time on a map that has no value. |
