What Sub Is The Best????

Hello everyone!
:p I've had 2 lucky patrols tonight and yesterday.
Let's take yesterday first.I was on the way to grid BF41 and did my duty patrolling the grid BF41 for 24 hours, and nothing to see.And then, some of you had mention that in the area BE it can be a lot of big ships,so I remembered that, and took a trip into that area. I bagged 13 ships for 51171 ton ,and when I came in to port everyone bying me drinks And tonight I sailed out of Wilhelmshaven in my sub IXB, yesterday too ( I love those subs they carry a lot of torps, 22 to be exactly ) and hurry to my patrol grid DH99 looooong trip, and bagged a small merchant . And when I' finished my 24 hrs , I gave orders to get to grid CG95 and layed under surface perfectly still and bagged six ships for 27000 ton. Not bad for 2 patrols???
What subs do you all like ???

GOOD HUNTING EVERYONE

Overall it would be the XXI.

But as for the conventional subs in the game, I prefer the VII-C. It's more maneuverable than IX classes, and dives faster. The trade off is less torpedos, and less range (which in the later years is probably better as longer voyages prove to be more dangerous).

It really depends on your play style. If you want maximum destruction for value than the IX is your choice. If you prefer to trade in the aforementioned bonuses of fuel and additional eels for a faster dive time and better submerged speeds than the VII's will serve you well.

a type II/D for me. with the 6th eel loaded in of course. small, agile and hard to find. can hunt in waters that type VII and type IX would never dare to go. and much shorter patrols!

Would you mind answering this question I have? Or anyone else who would have this knowledge.

I have seen around here the discussion of a 6th Eel in the Type II's as a historical point - some did take a sixth, but at the expense of space and speed, yet I only get 5. Now I checked the manual and it says the II-A had 3 Torps and 3 reloads, and the II-D had only 2 reloads; yet I have a II-A and I only have two reloads, now why is this? Is this a discrepancy with the SHIII manual, or just a typo as the II-D actually receives 3 torps?

stock game and older GWX versions had 6 eels. after GWX 2.0 they took out the 6th eel. I use GWX 2.1 so I just added the 6th eel back. Its very easy. Mikhayl explained it on an earlier type II thread.

VIIC/42 is the best for me, not too big not too small. I've converted her to U-Flak already (2 quad 20 mm. and 1 twin 37 mm.)

Stock game had five. Only the GW series ever had six. But you're right; it's easy enough to change either way.

The Gato!

wait, did I say that out loud?....

but seriously, IXb is the most effective IMO most bang for your buck, and available when it's still useful....

[off topic] I have been back after the completion of a volley of public exams [/off topic]

The USA - probably Balbo (spelling?) since it is the biggest one out of all and carry the most supplies and the most sophisicated systems on board. Agility is out of the questions since the Japanese defense is dead weak. Once I torpedo all the destroyers (which is not the chief function of the sub, through, but I have 10 torpedoes loaded to spare) I can virtually attack any ship within the convoy without any risk of retaliation

The Germans - Type IID or XXI. XXI is due to its superior arm and stealth techology incoperated. Type IID for its small size and agility.
