Default Question on Living Silent Hunter

Hi folks,

recently i have installed the mod "Living Silent Hunter III" to enhance the game.
One thing I recognized was, that the creaters have included some more farewell and welcoming marches for the boat to the game.
Since I am collecting march music, and there were some quite fairly good versions of some of the marches i recognized, I now wonder where they got those from. Especially the version of the Erzherzog Albrecht Marsch which comes closer to the version out of the movie "Das Boot" as any other version i have encountered till today.

So the question is what orchestra is it and from which CD is it.

Hi Larimda,

thx, but i can't answer your question which band/orchestra is playing the march/es. The march "Erzherzog-Albrecht-Marsch" is from the MOD: "-ViperU48's
Fanfare Mod-". The other marches were taken from a internet-site - but i'm sorry, i forgot the url .

Here is the ReadMe from ViperU48 MOD:

-----------
"-ViperU48's Fanfare Mod-
for Silent Hunter III

This mod is for those virtual seadogs who are now bored of hearing the fanfare-band playing the stock German National anthem everytime you leave or return to good old port.

The march in this mod is called the "Erzherzog-Albrecht-Marsch" and was even used in the extraordinary movie "Das Boot" when U-96 returned to port from her long patrol. This particular sound file was downloaded by me (then edited for the game) from the website, www.uboat.net (in Movies-Das Boot-FAQ section), which is an excellent source for information regarding Uboats in both world wars etc.

How to Install:

*IMPORTANT*: Before installing this mod, it is highly recommended that you backup any files that will be overwritten! (just one in this case)

Simply unzip the file, "Fanfara_01.wav", into the the SHIII Sound folder (Eg: X:\SilentHunterIII\data\Sound ).

Assuming that you backed up the original file, you must click "yes" when it asks you to overwrite the existing file.

Then tell the crew to report to the deck for departure procedures and listen to that band play!

I hope you enjoy! and Happy Hunting!

And of course to whoever actually wrote the "Erzherzog-Albrecht-Marsch" many moons ago."
