2nd post. No Instant Death screen for sh4

I am willing to do this myself, I just would like a little assistance to which strings in the files trigger this "feature"

I would like to have it trigger only when the boat explodes, or goes beyond crush depth.

If I can't have that, then I wouln't mind disabling it entirely and I be the one to choose when my boat is finished by pressing the escape key.

I second this notion. Now having said that why remove the feature. Your sub is screwed either way and why waste time trying to fix something thats only going to the bottom.

One time my death cam never came on after crush depth, my boat just dissappeared from the game after 1640ft.

This has bugged me very much. It is not possible to have the destruction of your sub at least trigger a series of explosion sounds? It's just very anti-climactic when you die and nothing really happens. No explosion, visual or otherwise, no massive amounts of water rushing into the crew compartments, etc. Has this been modded or can it?

I'm rather new to this modding thing with SH4, but from the countless times I've killed myself by catching depthcharges, hitting rocks, getting run over by a destroyer... It seems that the video is scripted.

H/o I'm going to go dig through SH4 now.

Look in the EventCamera.dat
There are 2 areas to look at.
End_Mission_Underwater
End_Mission_Surfaced

Those may hold a clue.
I know they are there but never messed with them.
