Default Going mad! How do I add a second deck gun?

I'm sure I've added a second deck gun before, but for the life of me I can't seem to add another one. I've tried starting a new career with Porpoise classes through 1941-45 also Tambor and Balao class subs, but there is only the option to replace the bow gun with the stern gun.

I did a search, but only found threads on problems mannig the second deck gun.

Anyone any ideas? Also, is there a 5" gun available as an upgrade?

There are some mods with the USS Narwhal, which had 2 6" guns, maybe your referring to that...

You can't. The game's engine only allows one deck gun.

But i've played with the Narwhal, it has 2 deck guns, but you can only manually man 1 of them (works fine with the crew manning them...)

Raptor1,

The Narwhal is not a stock submarine. It was added by Ducimus (Trigger Maru) and FooFighter (the skin).

There is a way to have 2 deck guns, but you have to get into some files to set up the crew manning manually. I don't remember which files though, sorry.

edit: Look at Fincun's post on this thread.

I know, but it shows that the game engine does support it
