I've found in SH4 I'm more dependent on radar and back in SH3 sound was god.
I don't know if I'm using the radar more as a crutch than an aid to good SA and attack profiling though. I do know this though: What a great tool to assist a proper approach. |

Well, US Submarines enjoyed pretty good radars so its natural to relay on them.

Back in the SH1 days radar was not only essential, but fun to use as well.

Used radar to input ranges and bearings into the TDC during surface attacks. Too bad we don't have that ability as we do for sonar. Major oversight, I say, have a beer!
