My mom got a systems with "comparable" specs 5 years ago
 Last year I put a little more RAM into it (384MB now). Complaint-free-environment  If the old one breaks one day, this would be the kind of "renewal".

Most people don't realize that this is all they need to surf the web and send email. The KDE desktop may take a bit getting used to but it works great after you learn to find your way around.
