Hey Modders - i got a question 4ya:
If you can do almost everything with SH3 gamecode, WHY you don't research and release playable U-Boat model of any type which will be: 1. LIGHTED witch position-nav lights to turn on and off with some key [alt?] - just 3-4 small beutiful colored lights like on cutter of Diving Duck; 2. with EXHAUSTING SMOKE - work already in progress but in early beta state...; 3. with WAVE FLAG on flagstock like on other shipZ; 4. with VICTORY PENNANTS that can be displayed after a succesful sinking of a ship. That can be a ModMax ![]() Last edited by lutzow; 07-11-07 at 05:25 PM. Reason: Correcting some errors |

We'd need the SDK for that kinda changes.

Software Development Kit; In other words the unpackaged source code and any helper files and instructions needed to build or change the core engine. Ubisoft owns it and used the engine for SH4 so are not likely to distribute one just so other people can change their game.

Just out of curiosity, do many games have their SDK released or is this a pipe dream that gamers refer to. What games have SDK's released that you know of if so, and indeed if there are some, what is the standard protocol for releasing them (like do they have to be so old or a sequel is already out)?

one of the very few games that has released a SDK or MDT ( mod developers toolkit ) is the Battlefield series that i know of.
As with BF1942 the SDK was released at the same time as the game i think, but with that one you can also use it for BF vietnam, BF2 and BF 2142 (i think with 2142 ![]() |
