Default Clickable instruments / controls?

Are there any clickable instruments or controls in the 3D interiors, as there was in SH3? It has handy to be able to click on the models of the echo-sounder and read it off the analogue dial, or open/close the tube doors with switches. I'm kind of missing this so far in the sim.

How about the maps you could actually see in the control room?

I miss those from SH3.

There are few buttons. The game is lacking here in respect to the SH3 layout.

I have to say these are the things I am most disappointed about in SH4. I've got my SH3 set up with very few keyboard shortcuts, so I got kinda spoiled in the immersion from having to move and work equipment manually. I still like SH4, but I feel more like I'm just playing a game than I did with SH3....

Heh...I read this thread yesterday and was looking around inside my sub and noticed a nice little red fire button. So naturally I was like..."Hmm...wonder if this works..." so click bang there goes tube one off into the Aussie coastline...

If you use the free camera you can look at the chart on the chart table. It is a whole ocean chart.

True, but in SH3, the map showed you the same zoomed area (with your ship, etc) that you left it in from nav map mode(F5).
