Default CFG file help

I would like some info on the CFG files, especially Sensors.cfg and Sim.cfg, especially Fog factor and Light factor. But any general CFG file notes and advice is welocome.

Any notes or tutorials? Can anyone give a little discussion about config files? Is there maybe a discussion pertaining to SH3 CFG files that translates to SH4 pretty well?

Thanks in advance,

A long time SH1 fan and a new SH4 fan.

Each cfg file have some comments for each value... There are no other manuals/books on that as far as I know... Learning by trying...

Thanks for replying.

I found some info and conducted some experiments. Brief summary: at night, lowering the Light factor in the Sim.cfg file does enable the AI to see you further - did not test day.
