Upgrade question P4 vs A64

I was thinking about upgrading slightly for SH3 and 4 and was wondering what the performance diff would be between my P4 2.8Ghz and a Athlon64 4000+.

Edit: Sorry I meant to post this in general. Been up all night :P

The AMD is much faster.
