The escorts 'sense' summit is up and start sniffin about

kaleun jimbuna takes the nearest one out

two more kiss the sea bed


Now that most of the escorts have been eliminated...the 'deadly duo' (toot and ploot or twit and twat) take yer pick lol ...can get on with the business of sinking some tonnage

But as is usually the case....someone always comes along and spoils the party!!
In this case an ASW group...2 Essex carriers with escorts to boot

What are the conditions, to have the best chance of finding a mp-game? (apart from visiting the mp-matchup forum, that is)

Do you need a "clean" SH3 (fully patched) + GWX + Dec23rd Corrections?
What happens if you enabled the GWX16km Atmosphere - like I did, while others haven't, for example?

Yep...that is all you need

Then you get a ctd

Proir to a MP game we all agree what mods if any we will use...it is vitally important that everybody agrees in advance in order that a dreaded 'ctd' does not occur.

FYI....MP games usually commence most evenings 1900 GMT.

Best way is to have a second MP install
Out of the box so you are all playing the same game

Failing that you can use JSGME to disable your mods and rollback commander

I remember having tried mp not long after SH3 came out, and I didn't like it that much I think.
Must have been a mix of things I didn't like, and I played sp eversince.

Do you still need to press Enter, to enter Chat?
That was annoying, as it also fires a fish.
I disabled the Enter-key...will I still be able to chat ingame?
And the whole mp-browser was poorly designed.
No idea if this has been improved?
And how about diff.settings? Can I read a server's settings in the browser, or do I just get a general easy/normal/hard?
There was this mp-game that I joined...(I always play with WO assistance offline)...thought it said Normal, but I still had to do everything myself.
Man, did I suck lol.

So, there we were, three of us. Me, MrChris & WilhemSchultz attacking a convoy. I launched a salvo of 3 torpedos against a juicy passenger liner and two of them hit. I immediatly launched a fourth torpedo and just as it was hitting the ship, two or three MrChris´ torpedos struck the PL and sunk it!!
