Default 2007 Games! (Broadband recommended to view)

Quote:
Below is a comprehensive list of all (at least I think so) promising PC games slated for 2007 release. By "promising" I mean games with big chances of scoring at least AA, while extremely small chances of scoring below 7 [out of 10]. I've tried choosing only games made by experienced developers (who made good games in the past) or for other reasons promising.
GameSpot Forum List (Broadband recommended due to large size of link and accompanying pictures. Not required though.)

Couple of Games from that list that I am looking forward to (not including SH4):
Infinity: The Quest for Earth
Fighter Ops

EDIT: Editted due to concern for dial-up users.

Cool!

Can't say I'm that interested in things outside of my narrow genre choices, but a lot of good things appearing nonetheless.

Armed Assault (hopefully patched properly), SHIV and the new Combat Mission top my list of the offerings on there. Storm of War would be - but I'm afraid I won't get to touch it until 2008 when I have enough to upgrade to a system that would be up to par for it. Skeptical it'd do well on my current one.

Thread title needs a dial-up warning. The HTML is 160k, and all the pictures top over 4MB.

Supreme Commander is a non-standard RTS.
The game is "roughly" multithreaded, so people with up to 4 processors will benefit (physics, graphics, AI, miscellaneous functions). It's fully 3D such that you can move the camera around. The thing has been in beta since October (which means it's going to be an actual retail release, rather than the usual beta release). It's also a DirectX10 game, although it's fully playable under DX9.

If you liked any of the Command and Conquer games, even if you got burned out of them, take a close look at SC. You might unburn enough to give it a try. There's some other games in that list that I'm interested in, but SC is the only one I will definitely be bagging when it's released.

Command and Conquer III out soon!

Silent Hunter IV.
Storm of War - Battle of Britain.
Black Shark.

They are the big three for me and I have just built my new E6600 system with them in mind. Only a video card upgrade later in the year will be required.

Lessee, this should be quite a bit better yearh than 2006 so there are number of titles to look forward to.

Silent Hunter IV
Storm of War
BioShock
S.T.A.L.K.E.R- Shadow of Chernobyl
Assassin's Creed
Brothers in Arms- Hell's Highway
Alan Wake
Sam & Max stuff

Possible runner-ups:
MoH: Airborne
Call of Duty 3 (probably not, though)
PT Boats (some doubts about this as well)

there'll probably be F.E.A.R 2 ,too and I don't know about the release date of the new Silent Hill game, eithr. In fact, there seems to be quite a lot at least semi-interesting things coming up, as described in the GameSpot list. Good times.

Wow, Great list of Sims on the way.

I would like to say that I can't wait to get SPORES but if it has the same copy protection as The SIMS 2, I won't touch it and it won't be able to install on my system anyway.

The SIMS 2 scans for Copy Software like NERO and if found, the game will not install. I use NERO on my PC to make copys for a friend that writes her own music and sells them.

I will wait to see what they use before I try to throw away my money.
