I like a challenge. When I come across a destroyer that's when I bump the TC up to 256X :rotfl:

Iron B you've nailed it!:rotfl:

Sailor Steve did too, re x128. A lot of the guys over at Pacific Thunder, who still play the orig SH, won't take the tc faster than x128...a good all around speed.

Immersion is what I believe everyone is trying to accomplish rather than realism. Its sort of like those "survivor" prgms on tv...heck, when I hear of ppl talking about those type of prgms, I ask 'em, "You like survivor? Well, try raising your right hand, and getting fitted for a pair of combat boots then spend a tour in the ME...see if you like survivor then." Ya think I sound too harsh?

We'll do anything to get the adrenolin pumpin'.

I agree a lot of people (even I do) tend to use the word "realism" when what they mean is "immersion". I also think 128x is a good all around TC, too, especially for long voyages across the Atlantic. Helps with the realism...uh, I mean the immersion factor.

Awesome, keep us apprised of how it goes and what the experience is like for you. I for one would like to see this thread continue. There are a lot more 1x Kaleuns out there than we may think. Or so I suspect....

Now back to my VIIB moving outbound through the canal at 1x...
