Crikey, what an anti climax that is, me thinks there'll be some foul play tonight with no one wanting to be winners of the group. A loss by the Czechs to England would be a godsend as they wouldn't end up playing a team from the group of death in the next round. Expect some boring football from them both tonight, and to spice things up a bit I think there'll be some comical defending and goalkeeping as well.

Throughout the day the radio channels has send sound clips from yesterdays football match between Denmark and Russia. It's like they already had won the trophy. Denmark seems to forget one very important thing. Belgium, Denmark should send a big thank you to them..It wouldn't have mattet if Denmark had won 15-0 if Finland had got 1 Point. Denmark did what it was expected they won and with so many goal that they became second-with help from Belgium.

Belgium were fortunate yesterday but if they don't tighten that defence up they're going to come a cropper, I still think the Netherlands are the team to beat but even they've got a dodgy defence, it's not who scores most that's going to win this tourney it's who lets the most in at the other end that decides who the champions will be.

It really shouldn't matter who you want to play because you have to beat every team your drawn against if you're going to be successful.

Who among the players from Wales could make Denmark look foolish this Saturday evening. I know Bale is a great player and if he is in a good mood he could score a goal or two. But beside him who else is there.

England looking good so far, just wonder what the referee is doing
edit: not his decisions, but he was often running right into the paths of players...

The second half was not so great, but England kept the pressure.
Maybe too much czech beer ..

Croatia 3, Scotland 1.
That's that then. I can get some peace and quiet now.

Southgate has set the Knee Benders a tough task in their next match, I'm not going to wish them luck as they're going to need more than that to win this tourney.
I watched the Soggy Sporrans game and there was some awful defending from them, they need to focus on improving their football abilities because overall it was average to mediocre at best.

Quote:
The group winners face a potentially tough last-16 game against the runners-up in Group F (France, Portugal, Germany or Hungary) at Wembley on Tuesday, 29 June (17:00).

The runners-up will meet the runners-up in Group E (Spain, Sweden, Poland or Slovakia) in Copenhagen on Monday (17:00).

Should the third-placed side progress from Group D, they will take on either the Group C winners in Budapest on Sunday (17:00), Belgium later the same day in Seville at 20:00 or the Group E winners in Glasgow on Tuesday (20:00).

Todays games.
Slovakia vs Spain
Sweden vs Poland
Germany vs Hungary
Portugal vs France

Some of these matches are a gamblers nightmare but as ever I'm going to pick two of them, Germany look a certainty so I'm not choosing that match but that Spain one is intriguing.

Edit, changed my mind on this game.
I'm selecting Spain even though that Morata is a useless pillock, and I'll choose France to send Twinkle Toes and his mob out of the tourney.
I'm selecting a bore draw instead as that Morata is a useless pillock, and I'll choose France to send Twinkle Toes and his mob out of the tourney.

I think I might regret both of those picks but I'll hopefully go down in a blaze of glory, if not, I'll be like the Soggy Sporrans and go out in a whimper.

I fully expect to be saying the same thing after the next game

I've an interest in the Slovakia game just because Dubravka will be in goal and the other interest is finding out who we play next.

Whoever it is whether Germany, France, Portugal or Hungary, it will be a tough one.

I support UEFA in this case.

Let football and other sport be a place where Politics and other society related issue is a no go.

The Munich city council had decided to raise the rainbow flag on the Stadium-But UEFA said no to this.

UEFA has declined the Munich city council’s application to have its stadium filled with colours, saying it understands the intention behind the proposal but it “must decline this request” because of its political context.

They should leave these kind of ideological crusades out of sports. I absolutely think so. Why is this stuff shoved down my throat while I want to wtach football...?

Just that UEFA is not the most honest of brokers when propagating this.

Right message but wrong messenger.

And for "ein Zeichen setzen", a German missionary hobby being turned into a mandatory civil duty, I recommend courses in grammar at the community college.
