Actually you're wrong, FRAPS does capture desktop video if you have the latest version and select "Monitor Areo Desktop" it will work fine. I just did it to make sure I was remembering correctly. I'll post it if you don't believe me.

What is "Monitor Areo Desktop" ? Are you using Vista?

It's only screen capture Neal. It's what tools like Fraps don't pick up ( I.E. not playing a game ) like desktop activities.

Win7 and that's the option that needs to be selected within FRAPS to capture all the desktop activities. Latest version is 3.1.1

Ah... you're trying to use it with XP? Aero is a Vista/Win7 invention, if you don't have either OS it won't work then I guess. Sorry

Well, I have thought about Win 7 but I will probably wait until Win 9. After all, XP is only 10 years old, and it still works perfectly, specially with all my old games.

And I hear migrating from XP to 7 is sheer work.
