I have to admit that melee is much more fun in FO4.

Melee is a nice addition, but I'm really really liking the new customization system.
I love being able to mod my guns and armor. Probably my favorite new feature.

The Frau just got this game and she likes it a lot. In looking over her shoulder there seems to be a lot to this game.
![]() Not sure my system has the computing power to handle this game. My computer can handle it fine, I am more worried about my brain. ![]()

![]() I am a bit displeased that they got read of condition for weapons and armor. Why they did this makes no sense so you can craft great why the hell remove the abilty to fix worn items which you could do in FO3 and FONV? |

I agree with Joe's warning Bethesda really needs to drop the old game engine and make some considerable changes in their stories from this point on. The open world element of the titles just wont cut it. The crafting thing feels very last minute to me. Im not that bothered by the power armor as I never used it other titles so it does not have a major appeal to me. I see it as the armor that Brotherhood of Steel and Enclave types wear and I just a waster dont want it or need it. The settlement thing seems very dumb as well I have zero interest in it short of points where I have to do it for a quest. The fact that they force you to have charisma to have good barter at all is very stupid. I have ignored it thus far. The new level system sets you at 1 skill point in each SPECIAL you are given at start 21 points to invest. Thing is they took away the old perk system. Now when you level you can add a point to a SPECIAL or to a "perk" that corresponds with a SPECIAL several perks having several tiers(in this manner they greatly simplify design and dumb down the RPG element). IT makes leveling up pretty dull. In my opinion the old level system was one of things that made Fallout different. But today every game has to be like every other game. RPGs that also came out this year such as The Witcher 3 just murder this title. Its not horrible just mediocre I'm left feeling like Immortan Joe I want my War Boys to perform well but "Mediocre..." and they are yelling "I got his boot". Id give it a 7/10 as an average title a 6/10 as a Fallout title. |

Haven't played it.. will not play it.. ever.. for real! Removing the pure RPG elements from fallout 1 and 2, (were to obvious even in Fallout 3) only to replace the wonderful things you could do with just talking, with a 90% more boring FPS shooting!?
Got myself Whitcher 3 with all free DLC's (except newgame+) (damn the game looks good!, and have a compelling story/interaction with people and things) Got it a long time ago, really cheap. Got the DLC after a few hours playtime. Also just got Skyrim with all DLC's at the winter-sale. Not at all as bad as Oblivion was (only played out the assassin and thief questline there) And scaling isn't as horrible as in oblivion.. or most things Bethesta touches these days! Even really good Morrowind feeling to it. |

For you complaining about the fact that you in your armor rule the wasteland after just a few hours.. check the speedruns for fallout 1 and 2.. the 2 best games ever made imo
It's a matter of minutes to finish the game(s) I guess i played them both 10 times at least. (not my speedrun) |

I look forward to the day when Fallout is no longer one of Bethesda's IPs, and eagerly anticipate a legitimate isometric Fallout cRPG. Obsidian, InXile and Harebrained Schemes are three from the short list of studios I would like to see tackle such a project.

I just stop playing. It was just, boring to me (I loved FONV). I didn't care about Shaun.
The voice protagonist was a terrible, uninspired, idea. Settlements are tedious. Maybe when the creation kit comes out the mods can save the game from itself. On the plus side, I'm playing SH4 again! ![]()

Sweet Jesus yes. Got so sick of staring at boring grey everything in FO3 that I sometimes would close the game out of sheer bleah. Fallout 4 turned out to be so much better looking it's hard to describe.
Damn good game in my opinion. It certainly sucked me in better than most games manage.

Seems somebody has finally made a PC mod to stop Preston Garvey from assigning all the stupid settlement quests. After the GECK drops, it should be available for console users.

If you like dreary and grey, it was certainly your game. Worse, there was a whole trend of games and movies both looking sort of colorless about that time.
Couldn't stand it. It's my least favorite visual cliché, beating even unnecessary lens flare.

Hey guys, so I need some help. My wife recently got FO4 for her PC and she wants me to install the settlement mod that allows you to construct items even if they're in red (a place that won't work) can anyone help me with a detailed guide through to do this? I tried earlier and failed :/
