That's quite the story and I don't blame you for being creeped out especially the part about the bridge not making any noise and the way the dog acted.

About thirty years ago, my parents were in their bedroom along with the dog who was napping. All of a sudden he woke up and started acting strangely. They said it was like he could see someone besides them and even got up on his hind legs as if he was playing. They didn't say how long this went on for but eventually he went back to his bed and fell asleep again. About thirty minutes later we got the phone call telling us our uncle had passed away. He was always very popular with us kids as he loved to do magic tricks but he also loved animals and often played with our dog. If my mom was the only one who witnessed it, I would have had a hard time believing it but my dads not the bull****ting type so I can only conclude it must of happened the way they said. I don't know if dogs can sleep walk but if so, it was quite the coincidence that he did it when he did.

The pics with the blobs.
Could it be a combination of moisture on the camera and someone with a flash light pointing it in the general direction of the camera?

Yeah...uh....sure...it was the weather that kept you inside...

Seriously though, I probably wouldn't have gone alone either. If anything, take a friend or two.

Anyway, my hunter auto camera a lil old, but I got a few hits, but I can't make it out. I had flash off, but use a setting that should pick up well in moon light, but didn't work so well.

I got this pic, but I can't really see anything. I almost see a shape or something, but hard to tell, almost like an outline with a arm reaching, like a white shirt pulled up to the elbow....but could be seeing things. I tried to enhance it, hard to tell, what do you guys think, nothing here. It's not me and no one knows camera is there, well hid.
Whiskey....Tango....Foxtrot.

I see it...but like you, i'm not sure I'm seeing what I'm seeing.

Quote:
Nothing but white blobs. Tested cam and can't get it to do the same with any setting.
Odd...

Ever thought of a video camera? Does your game camera do that?

My brother has one that will take video and save it all nice and digital on an SD Card. You might be able to get one for under $100 that does that. I bet you could....and maybe an IR Camera might change this up a bit.

Anyway...I took the one picture and did a bit of enhancing on my own with my phone.

If you look, you can clearly see the bridge posts and not-so-clearly what looks like a person in between them. You have a bright enhancement...IMHO, you can see it a bit better here.

Spooky...

And on this other one of the blobs...

I don't know if it means anything...but the way the circles intersect look like a head and shoulder...Just something that stuck out at me.

I don't know, but I don't think moisture would be almost layered perfect circles.

I got the one pic without blobs, then about 10 seconds later about 12 blob pictures one after the other, about 14, then no more pics.

Again, I cld be seeing things, but I swear I see a shape, but more the arm of a white man with his arm sort of up and a white shirt sleeve or something pulled up on the arm....Still, you would think it would be more clear, but sort of a body outline. It could be me just wanting to see something not there.

Didn't go back out, got interested in boxing match on HBO, maybe get more pics tomorrow.

Red, interesting we see it differently, which could mean we see nothing.

I tried more edit tools for clarity, but not much luck

Main thing if you look to me is a white spot center picture, almost like a sleeve pulled back, sort of round like it's around a arm and I see a hand.
It does appear something is center, course something set the cam off, so somethings did it.

On the ghost forum, ghost hunters say the round circles are orbs, some sort of energy ball in mass amounts and they want to come setup....I may or may not let them. Guess it would be fun, they got a bunch of cool equipment.

Not sure about the blobs, why so much light in circles, I did pictures with flash on and they just look like nice lighted shots showing up, but I had flash off, cuz if person I didn't want that to show and someone steal it.

Anyway, time for bed..

Indeed...but there is always the question...

What the hell is it?

Quote:
Now, there I didn't pick up on that right away. To me, that looks like an odd angle/position for an arm to be in. It's almost like this...thing...is on it's side the way you describe it.

The way the hand is positioned seems to be at the wrong angle from the sleeve.

I will say, it kinda looks like a sleeve...but that's not what I get out of it. I see that as maybe exposed skin.

Now this here. I've heard of this before...

Down near my grandma's old place, there's a town in Missouri that's known for the Spooklight.

Here's a video that the Missouri Ghost Hunter Society made

Excerpt from the Wiki Article

Quote:
The Spooklight, also called the Hornet Spooklight, Hollis Light and Joplin Spook Light, is a mysterious visual phenomenon allegedly experienced by witnesses in a small area known locally as the "Devil's Promenade" on the border between southwestern Missouri and northeastern Oklahoma west of the small town of Hornet, Missouri.
Despite the fact that it is named after a small, unincorporated community in Missouri from which it is most commonly accessed, the light is most commonly described as being visible from inside the Oklahoma border looking to the west. The Spooklight is commonly described as a single ball of light or a tight grouping of lights that is said to appear in the area regularly, usually at night. Although the description of the light is similar to that of other visual phenomena witnessed throughout the world, the term "Spooklight" when standing alone generally refers to this specific case. Numerous legends exist that attempt to describe the origin of the Spooklight, one of which involves the ghosts of two young Native American lovers looking for each other.

According to most accounts, it has appeared continually since the late 19th century,[1] although it was generally not well known to anyone but locals until after World War II. Some date the first encounters with the light back to the Trail of Tears in the 1830s. However, the first documented sighting is generally accepted to have occurred in 1881, although some report sightings as far back as 1866. The earliest published report dates back to 1936 in the Kansas City Star.
In 1946 the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers supposedly studied the "Hornet Light", but could not find a cause for it. In their words, it was a "mysterious light of unknown origin".[1] Early residents of the area reported seeing lights in the forest, over their land, or even in their yards.
During the 1960s, there was a general store in Hornet that gave out information about the light to sightseers. It included a "Spooklight museum". There have also been various establishments along the Missouri-Oklahoma state line that served a similar function, but they have since closed. During the 1960s and 1970s the roads where the Spooklight usually appears were often packed with parked vehicles and people hoping to get a glimpse of the mysterious light.

It's always kinda interested me....we used to go out to Joplin all the time...

Some day, I'd like to poke around a bit over there out of curiosity...

If you've ever seen the movie Cars.... They reference this with "Mater and the Ghost Light"

EDIT: This led me to a video compilation of Haunted Locations in Missouri...

There's one not even an hour away... Arcadia Academy in the Arcadia Valley...but the one that gets me...is only 30 minutes away....

Southeast MO State is supposed to be haunted by a poltergeist, the music building has apparitions that mess with electronics and radio...and there's an unremovable bloodstain in the theater along with another apparition.

I know of some others... The old MO State Pen is supposed to be haunted and so is Jefferson Barracks.

But as I watch this....it's a little chilling to know that when I was at St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis, I was in the same hospital that is haunted by dead children and poltergeists. Now that I look back, I was around 10 at the time I used to go there....man, if they had kept me overnight in the children's ward and I had seen a dead kid.... I would probably be fighting PTSD.

Movies, books, and whatnot...they don't scare me...but when this crap hits the fan and you've been there....it kinda gives you a little chill.

*shiver*

Creepy stuff.

And I experienced something like that around 10 years ago with my dog as well.
He was a Siberian Husky, foolhardy, not afraid of nothing that idiot.
We went out for a stroll at night and at some point he just denied to go any step further. No matter what I tried, no chance. He was staring down a rural-road, so was I. Nothing at all. No sound, no man, no beast, nothing.

I tried to convince him further and even pulled on the lead. Nothing. He was pushing all four legs forward into the ground, staring at something like...well... he would see a ghost.

When I felt something just isn't right, we went another path. My father experienced the same thing at the same place. Beside the road where he refused to go on is an old small house in a mini-forest. No one lives there, it is more for storage or whatever, I don't know. Surely no fancy ghost stories about this place, but we never understood his reaction.

Don't believe in ghosts and demons and all that myself. I'm certain this is all made up stuff and just, well, stories. But moments like this are sure creepy.

I've no clue what you saw but the orbs look like out of focus light sources and a bit of lens flare to me:

If you want good ghost photos there are easier ways to do it:

The secret is long exposures

I don't doubt you. Like I said, when I was a kid I witness the unexplainable.

I tinkered with the photo and zeroed it in for a better look at what you might have witnessed that dark and lonely night. It's Colonel Sanders!
