Old thread I know, but rather bump this than make a new one.

L to R

Czech vz.24 made pre-war for the Romanian Army

1978 336 in .35rem (Bought at yard sale, going to take the scope off)

NEF 20ga

TGI build AK-74 w/added Plum furniture

Yugo M59/66

Hungarian AKM

1943 M91/30

Norinco SKS

1946 M44

The Kalashnikov's.

Anyways, my meager, oddball collection. Just need an AR to round it out, and a M1 Garand and etc etc...

Guns are fun.

CZ-75B 9MM Stainless. Allot of interesting info here.

http://www.gunsandammo.com/content/cz-75b-stainless-

I'll let the article do the talking but I would absolutely, very highly recommend this to anybody who is interested in owning a pistol. In fact I have converted many Glock nuts and ex military guys when they shoot tighter groups with my CZ first time then they do with their time tested Glock's.

TF - where's your vz from?

I have a similar rifle - the G24(t) - a 1941 manufacture from the Považská Bystrica plant ("dou" on the receiver housing). Have you fired it yet?

It's a Bruno manufactured rifle.

Yeah, I've put a few rounds through it, it's a fun gun to shoot...

...except it was like 10 degrees out and the frozen hands tempered my enjoyment a little.

One thing though, not a huge fan of the little v-notch sight on it.

I'll have to put it through more of it's paces this summer.

ETA:Excuse the poor lighting...

...and the setting too, I'm working on the fly here.

Nice gun collection guys.
I always want to get a SVD But I'll probably never get one unless it's Airsoft if it's legal here again...

The UK sucks for firearms

Hopefully when things get more settled workwise this year I'll put in for my SGC (shot gun certificate) for a bit of clay shooting a couple of times a month... Cheapish shotguns ftw - Baikal mp 153 12g semi auto (remmington spr 453) took my fancy, but I also saw a nice benelli (franchi fast 12g semi auto) recently. Criteria are cheap (~ £600-700 new) and reliable, will last a lifetime and not suffer feed issues over light loads and shell brands.
Unfortunately we are limited to 1 in the chamber and 2 in the magazine, unless you do 'practical shotgun' on a FAC, but that doesn't sound like much fun to me.

I guess being single does have some advantages: you don't have some feeble woman who thinks air guns are so dangerous that she wouldn't even hold one for fear it might 'do something'

Very nice - I can't speak for yours, but the I found the open iron sights pretty accurate on mine, at least out to about 250-300m. Kicks like a mule, but a fine rifle - really lets you know you're holding something real.

I love the solid walnut furniture - really gives the rifle a hefty, rugged feel. I'm guessing your numbers match?

ouch...

Firearms can be fun, but this video sort of brings home what their true purpose is.
It's still pretty cool though.
