You just crossed the line. That means you are offline, and must be executed.

Don't be mean, his arguments are very elevated. More like "the DRM-Jugend of subsim".

You went a bit further than just posting your opinion. You talked down to pretty much anyone who disagreed with you and told them their opinions weren't worth hearing, they were products of the past, and they should just grin and bear a reaming by the people who supposedely create game for them with a smile and a "Thank you so much, sir! May I have another?"

One of the hallmarks of intelligence is the ability to laugh at oneself. The altered dialogue was pretty funny, even if you can't see it.

And yes, if such dialogue were aimed at me I would still laugh, if it was that funny.

in a way you have been made famous, your name was immortalised in a funny video that will be seen by many and unless they are aware of some back and forth in a few threads at this site they dont see it as a slight towards you but rather remember your name in a video they liked.

your strong opinion caused some to feel you were being pushy with your views instead of stating your opinion and letting others have theirs.

nobody minds you stating your opinions and defending DRM if that is your position but at some point you must see that other opinions are not wrong just because you dont agree with them.

i happen to think DRM can be a very good thing to have, IF it is made "optional" and not manditory. i think many here are very willing to give it a chance if its an option that can be turned off if you dont want it or cant use it.

It's obvious just a waste to even discuss this any further so I told Neal earlier im done with it. Differing opinions are not welcome here, and if you express it people here will make videos about you. I get it.

Sorry you feel that way.

I, for one, replied to one of your posts agreeing with the fact that some aspects of DRM can be beneficial but that I disagreed strongly about being required to be connected the whole time during play.

Don't recall posting anything other than an acknowledgement of your views, agreement with some of it, and disagreement with some other bits.

No flaming. Nothing personal. A blanket 'differing opinions are not welcome here' is simply not supported by the majority of evidence I've seen in almost 9 years as a member. Yes, some people might go a bit off at times, but this community has some pretty wise moderators and tends to be reasonably self-correcting, especially in light of many other forums/game communities.

Sorry you feel put upon. I don't like that happening to anyone, but it seems a few people feel you weren't tolerant of other views (I'm not expressing a view on that).

Cheers

SARCASM ON--
Don't cry about it, and accept it. It's part of the progress of internet. Now everyone gets a video these days being laughed at (me first, though in a different field of activity), it's a social hit, person to person jokes aren't in the loop anymore. If you don't like it, don't watch it and don't read it.
SARCASM OFF--

Not a funny guy, huh?

PS.: I can post my videos if you like, to see what I'm talking about (some people might even recognise me).
