Indeed. In all levels of football hitting or leading with the crown of the helmet is a personal foul, and if intentional, an automatic fine in the NFL.

Putting your facemask into someone is hardly using it as a weapon, though.

There is plenty of even more gruesome footage, from legs being broken in a game from a tackle etc. I don't care what you 'Amis' say, football is a tough game.
