Picture taken by an unknown British sailor.

Picture taken by Adolf Mack, IWO on board the U-24.

I have used IrfanView 4.0. Limited in functions but otherwise a really good prog.

Great shot, Steve!

Few more from my current WaW patrol.

U-21 under attack from RAF aircraft. September 1939, NordSee.

Photograph taken in the U-21's control room as bombs from the enemy planes land dangerously close to the boat. U-21 was constantly attacked by RAF for 13 hours. The boat was lightly damaged, but was able to continue the patrol.

I fiddled around Brag but just couldn't get it to look like an old photo, but after using a gradient filter to add Sepia color then added film grain also blured and removed moire the picture was too dark so I adjusted the brightness and got the following result that looks a little like a painting, I called it "Grey Wolf after a kill 1942":

Very nice indeed. We've got a budding artist onboard my new command U-556. He did a watercolour entitled 'The Fatherlands Finest'!!

I cant say I like his style and seeing as the artist is supposed to be the fellow on the left the title should be taken with a pinch of salt as well
