A saying in Germany was "There are no bad beers, some are better than others". Of course, I think they never tried BBK (Bayerische Brauerei Kaiserslautern aka the "Bad Beer of Kaiserslautern").

Ah yes, the good ol' days of Binding bier, Pirminator, cola-schoppen's, meter biers, and those god-awful hangovers brought on by shots of Apfelkorn, Jagermeister, and who knows what other kinds of schnapps... :rotfl:

Yours, Mike

Mmmmmmmmmmm, Jagermeister. Now I know what I'll be buying tonight. Unless anybody knows of a good Kummelschnapps.

Anyone here try Hobgoblin? It's a really good strong dark ale!

Other than Hobgoblin, I haven't tried any of the other Wychwood brews in the pic above, but I will as soon as I can find any.

I am boycotting Heineken, as of today Heineken owns the biggest brewing companies in Poland, so when I am home in Poland I am theoretically drinking Dutch beer...

But you guys know how to arange festivals, Heineken aranges a festival every year in Gdynia called Heineken open air festival. Lots of beer there.

Mostly I'm a spirits drinker, but if beer is going I'll have an Erdinger. Or a good stout.
Erdinger Dunkel (Dark) is one of my favs! That is such a good beer

I don't agree with the 7-8% limit though. SOme of the best tasting beers ever and highest rated (The Rochfort that I list above for example garners an unheard of 96 points) have very high alc contents.

That stuff is gross!! How many people here know that it was designed to be cough syrup, and help digest your food better? Someone said one day that hey - "I wish this cough syrup was at my local bar", and here ya have it.

Next we will be seeing NyQuil at the local bar.
