Because they better have to do better than Tomi to avoid making people switch back to SH4 when SH5 will be out. :rotfl: Impressive stuff, as always, Tomi.

Oh My
This is wonderful work. This was a dream once i saw the first phase...and now the engine room is happening. The layout and the injectors are right on from what i have seen, completely accurate. I am thanking those doing this very much indeed. To know what they did, how they lived, in those boats, has been one of my greatest hopes of this sim, and it is closer now, much closer. Danke. Vielen Dank

Do you intend to add flushing? Meaning water streaming out of the toilet. If so, will you make it so that the water is streaming clockwise north of equator and counter-clockwise south of equator? Okay, just kidding of course...

I didn't find any other pictures, except for this one. It is from U180, which - as we all know- was IXD1. So its loo is probably more spacious than the ones from other boats. And it seems to be a different model.
P.S. i have no scanner, so I had to take a photo. Cheers Kai |

Just for interest sake U-534 was commanded by KL Herbert Nollau, sunk 5.5.45 with DC's by a Liberator of 86 Sqdn piloted by WO J D Nicol, near Anholt Island. 3 crew were lost the Commander & 48 men survived.

Yes it is such beautiful work going on here, that was why i am searching and asking my comrades who know of these things for any pictures to help. Yes they told me almost all of the crew of 534 survived, a few died of being in the water and one of a heart attack and the skipper sadly who was interned and released in 1946 i hear commited suicide..dont know for sure.
i will post more pics in a separate thread so as to not put too much in here. They have also found 3 U boats on the bottom of the Black Sea, 3 of the 6 that were sent there overland, 19, 20 and i think 23 including Gunther Prein's first boat i will try to get pics.

Incredible
I can honestly say that since joining Subsim I've never flipped through EVERY single page of a thread.........until this one. Like a good book that you can't put down, I found I couldn't stop reading as I saw each picture of the mods progressing. Astounding work! My hat's off to all those with this type of skill.
I, for one, am definitely intrigued about the modelling software. What 3D modelling software would the experts suggest would be good for a complete novice to try? |
