Small update, Main TDC control board has been designed and sent out for prefab.
Next step is ordering components then assembly and testing.
If everything looks good, will be doing a beta run for 10 users for testing before going live.

Where are you getting panel made? I'd love a lead for projects that I do.

Hi reaper7,

I read your announcement and saw that videos, and now, I´m... speechless! So much time and effort spent for your hobby! But I can imagine how satisfying it is, if one manages to get such an idea to work. You can really be proud of that. Congratulations!

Just finished watching your videos and I am impressed , I have seen a number of videos of home made flight simulators , but never one involving subs .
You are Sir , a true original , a Davinci of the subsim nation .

Three weeks too late, but who cares.

Cool! I too looked at the date of the thread just now, and figured it was awfully close to April Fools date. But I figure the hardware shown in the video is too expensive to be fabricated as a joke.

Sounds like "crashing wave" fidelity can finally become a reality. All one needs is a solenoid operated water bucket. Spraying water on your face does not have to detract from realism anymore.

Is it too soon for wishlists yet? Any chance for Arduino support for the hardware? Or Android support for those that would like to develop apps showing the TDC in a tablet?

This is a very interesting development indeed. Albeit a potentially expensive one. Still, this seems cheaper than a Falcon 4 'Office' replica.

Thanks Pisces, I think you'll be happy with the direction I want to take it. The arduino open ended/ease of access is definitely on the cards for the end user.

Default A New Way To Play

Cheers guys. Just waiting on main control boards for the TDC. Once they past continuity checks, I'll get the components soldered up and checked.

I've been busy designing a new board for the gauges.
This new board will be for the target speed and AOB, I'm hoping to get dual axis working so that I can have both a working needle and inner disc.
That way no unrealistic LED's for the inner disc.

Just hope it works

Newest Dual Gauge board has been designed and sent to prefab.
It will take a few weeks to get them and all the relevant components from the suppliers, and them built and tested.

So in the mean time, I made some 3D renders of the boards themselves for those interested in that sort of thing. No uboat pics in sight lol.

Yes Manos, I couldn't help myself lol. Gives them a bit if a mariner theme, will prob do a better theme on them for the final release boards.

Hopefully once I get them from supplier and built they work as intended. Would be great to get rid of the digital LEDs, they take the feel away a bit.

Will have to design a new UI for SH3 to remove all the redundant dials then also.
