What I did was barely a mornings work, that includes learning curve, to make them work properly, and testing of alterations on individual U-boats. It really was no big deal, I can't say I found it hard at all. I enjoyed it though very much.
Like the man said your a modder then.

Lehman. i do agree the fact Pen is a female modder should be announced...
i do agree she deserves a pat on the back for it.

what i DO NOT agree is:
1. the fact some of you think they are better than others
2. danslia's reply to RB to "shut up". FREEDOM OF SPEECH, ever heard of it ? :hmm:
3. your reply "and to show a little gentlemanly class" becouse that make's you the same
4. that you, dan AND RB should appologiese to eachother but what you (meaning to all) think it isnt needed

my appologies for this but i felt like doing so.
and dont reply with any of the icons this time

I would like to understand,
why some of you are turning
a simple thread, were a team leader shears up
a team mate for a job well done, into a
splash screen of bad temper and bad replies,
insted of shearing up a Modding effort!

this might be the ocasion for you guys think
that this kind of actitude will make new
guys afreid of even dare to post Modding
work attempts !

*`Please congratulate the Effort and reserve to
another ocasion the bad replies and words guys!*

Nice work Pen. I'm not a modder myself, but I'm always amazed at the stuff y'all modders put out. 3 cheers for all modders. Now off to the officers club. I'm buying

There was certainly nothing wrong with KL's announcing this fact and the fact that Penny has created her first mod and anyone who thinks there is should stop flapping their gums like a dunny door in a high wind and take a good long hard look at themselves before posting any more tripe like we've seen here.

There are a number of people here who appear to be incapable of understanding what they are reading. If you check the first post by KL carefully you will read that Penny has not only started down the road on her modding career, but has also fixed a realism error that has been in SH3 from day dot.

She has reviewed and fixed the flak gun configurations for every uboat in every year so that when you play the next version of GWX your boat will be historically more accurate than it was when you play SH3 out of the box.

Hats off to Penny and any other modders who are generous enough to share their talents with the great unwashed like me who struggle to understand the basics of playing the game let alone groping around in its innards to see what's wrong with it and then having the nous to fix it!

I kind of see Racerboy's point in demanding more recognition for all modders, and I didn't read in his post any intention of putting Penelope_Grey down. He was simply asking to recognize the hard work of ALL modders.

Telling someone to 'shut up' is bad form, any way you slice it.

I think all modders should get their own threads of recognition. That would include of course Penelope_Grey.

I'd be a bare faced liar if I said I wasn't enjoying getting to ham it up a bit. So there... I'll be honest, Im enjoying.

JCwolf, thanks very much sir. I'm hoping that with a bit of time, I may be able to go on and do further things. I'm not genius by any stretch, but it was quite a good feeling to see that I had done the work and that it was right (in the end... took a few attempts), and that what I did will be in 1.04 so it was all very cool for me... because well... blondes are dumb right?:rotfl:

Thanks also to my teammates past and present, and AVGWarhawk, and Mush Martin and sailor Steve... I think! LOL

-----------------------

To the critics in this thread:

Thankyou. You've really given me incentive now to go on and learn more and do more. Even if only to put noses out of joint. But I am genuinely grateful, negative encouragement also works on me... because I am a stubborn willful cow when I want to be... and this is one time I want to be.
