Aw come on...331 for 7 doesn't bode well for almost a full final days batting.
You were beaten anyway ![]() |

Forecast Summary for manc land today
Cloudy with rain persisting for much of the day, very heavy at times with a risk of thundery bursts and localised flooding. Towards evening the rain will ease and slowly clear eastwards, perhaps allowing some late brightness in the west. In other words its gunna piss it down all day ![]()

Play due to start at 11.30 (not sure for how long though) and the Cons have declared (which is no real surprise at all)

Aye, they have 98 overs (at most and presuming no more stoppages) to bowl England out (no chance) and England need 332 to win.

TBH I don't think your lot did enough in their second innings to give Clarke many choices.
A full final days play chasing 350ish was probably doable but the expected weather breaks today are going to eat into those 98 overs so if there is say a two hour loss or thereabouts I can only see this gaming petering out. Unless a miracle occurs ![]() |

Cook LBW! 1 wicket for bugger all!

Maybe. If I'm honest we needed to get your mob out earlier to stand a real chance of avoiding the draw. Another missed DRS chance when Pieterson was in his 60's might have given the game a different complexion. Que sera sera. All we can do is play what's in front of us and get wickets.
It would be a shame if the weather ends up being the deciding factor as this has been the second most exciting test this series. |
