Hi there, fantastic work!! its great to see the models improving. this is somthing that hasnt really been done a great deal before (on the u-boats atleast)
is the boat still hollow as you showed in your post "first optic test" i guess you are using 3ds max. have you tried adding a shell modifier? this would add the "thickness" of the hull you could delete your inner extrusion polys and allow the shell modifier to do the rest, it would make the drain holes the same depth as the hulls thickness.
sorry if this does not come accross clearly or you have already tried this / do not think it is a good idea.

They pass away colours and the lights in the pictures are lighter an aid around bagging to discover, so a help.

A very good idea and a wonderful tip - I will try out it - Maybe adds it at all where a literature - Shell modifier???

What magnifique work ! I guess this new boat will be much more stable in sea, much more in real condition. Perhaps time for dive will be increase ? I always thought the sub had a comportement at sea too much " light ".
About the holes in the hull: it must have closed behind for some, no ?

And for some other open (like on this picture where we can see the wall
through the holes). but it's perhaps impossible to do.

...a word about the " thickness " of the steel of the hull (and of the holes, if i can say .. . 1,5 ? 2 centimeters ??
