In regards to the post topic. I think its only western countries and cultures that find this guy to be a wackjob and then some. From stories ive read, the Arab world, naturally thinks of him in a more positive light. For instance they seem to interprett his letter as genunie and sincere while many of us for the most part, think its so deep in bull****, as to require hip waders to get through it.

I found a link awhile ago that outlined exactly how the Iranian goverment works. To oversimply what i vaugly remember, the Iranian president may as well be th King of England because he has about as much power as one does today. He's a figurehead pretty much. The real power is with the religious rulers who, in the background have the ultimate say so.

Iran is a prime example of why church and state need to be kept seperate. They are very much intertwined in Iran. In a country that ultimatly ruled by religous leaders, don't expect anything rational or logical.

Wait...wait...waiiiiit a minute....

Does this mean Thomas the Tank Engine is a vehicle (pardon the pun) for radical Islamic views? I mean, I was always a bit suspicious of the way they portrayed Diesel, perhaps he's meant to be the west and the other engines are the Middle East?

What would the Rev Audrey say?

No. Yassir Arafat was. I noticed a resemblance 30 years ago.
