Actually this sort of thing happens a lot. About a year ago I found there was a chap over at the SimHQ forums using my old Kriegsmarine girlie sig image. He changed it a little, but at least he gave attribution which is more than most do. However, If he had asked I would have more than happy to give him permission to use it.
