Futuremarks 3Dmark contains a seperate test for CPU testing (CPU-game testing)

The 2006 version has just been released.

3DMark has been welknown for delivering the tool for testing your PCs gaming perfomance. Although I seem to remember that there was some discussion a while back about Nvidia and ATI optimizing their drivers for 3DMark...but its still a good way to compare your PCs 3D performance

Speaking of 3Dmark, has anyone even attempted to run 3Dmark06? On various tech forums and websites I have read that it brings peoples systems to their knees and no longer are they getting ridiculously high scores.

I'll go through the mag disks to see if the latest 3Dmark is there, I only have 56k modem here in the bush so most of these type of programs I get comes from mag disks!
Hmm, reading about the latest version I think I'll try to find 3Dmark05!

I have just downloaded and will try it later, but I should think that the new version of 3DMark has allways brought systems to their knees when its been released. Only much later will there be system availeble to run it smoothly.

Thats the idea...to stress systems as much as possible

Hi all, after trying to play SH3 the system reboots after a few seconds to a few minutes, I tried everything and after checking through a number of forums found that this is a common problem!!
If anyone is having similar problems - trying to run ATI cards on an A8V Deluxe then the fix is as follows:
The problem is not with the Asus motherboards but the VIA AGP driver, simply run the supplied ASUS CD, select VIA 4in1 driver program, then select normal installation (not express) then make sure the AGP ONLY is ticked, continue to next screen and tick on uninstall AGP driver, then continue & will ask to reboot system, that's it. 3D games should now run fine!
Cheers,
Reece.
