There's a few preview spreads on the book's Amazon page:
http://www.amazon.com/Royal-Navy-Sub...=haynes+manual (Look for the thumbnails underneath the book cover) I'm really looking forward to this now. Looks like the majority of the book is devoted to technical and operational details, operating procedures, and information on Alliance's restoration. It's also going to be at least 188 pages, rather than the 160 pages mentioned on Haynes' site and Amazon. Also, the four diagrams shown in the preview shots are either originals or redrawn versions of them, and not just recycled schematics from the "Anatomy" book. Hopefully, my bitching about the U-boat manual got the attention of somebody at Haynes. This one looks like it won't suck. ![]() |

Received my copy a few days ago, burned through it, and recently posted a brief review of it on Amazon. I gave it four out of five stars - not perfect, but a massive improvement over their U-boat manual.
