I enjoy flying especially takeoffs and in lesser extent takeoffs. Also when in flight I feel I can relax as there is someone else worrying about my safety (pilots, flight attendants...) and when/if something goes wrong I'm either a) unable to do anything to it or b) told exactly what to do.

Much easier than at home!

I'm just the opposite. When someone else is flying I feel like I have no control at all.

2 times, sorry for lack of expression in english.
I don't know why the second time i got out of the plane a little i don't know feeling not good, was not fear or anything, my nerves were good but i don't know what happened, the 2 times was on a little airshow here in Colonia, they do not do it anymore sadly, and i asked the pilots to let me fly, 1 was on an old Piper, my only flying experience was on games, the guy told me i was doing very well, the second was a small goverment plane, modern, when we were about to land, the wheel? (copilot seat) while he was pulling back, pressed my legs, i didn't know if that can obstruct the pilot wheel?, so very fast i made space for it. He looked at me fast and then proceded to land.

I think that is a very common feeling.

That is the primary reason I hate rollercoasters/thrill rides. I don't like the loss of control.

I love flying, comical is OK but what I like best was an old, new at the time,
Cessna 172. That is when you're really flying. Love that push down into the seat when the plane lifts off and you watch the ground slowly recede.

One of the best experiences I've ever had was a few rides in a P-51, in a jump seat behind the pilot. Rides never to be forgotten. Went over the desert and did some high G maneuvers. The pilot was only 16 at the time, didn't even have a drivers license, but had been flying since he was 10 years old. His dad owned the local airport and was a WWII P-51 pilot.

As to the OP, yes you really do feel different as least on those flights I did.
