I opened it up and ...... no loose contacts, no dust everything was fine

Hard to say, but I guess you have a converted input to the amplifier, try to pull it out, and if you have anything else running it instead...

could be, but not likely. The fact that it works normally for the first few minutes makes me think it's got something to do with heating.
Are you absolutely positive it isn't a loose connection? loose connections don't have to look like a loose connection, quite often they actually do make contact (at least with bare eyes it seems like it). Also, "wire" doesn't necessarily have to mean a wire in the traditional sense of the word. It can also mean any other conducting connection between components.
