Haha, yep!

Back when I lived in Ottawa, this was the difference between June and February

With me in the background for size comparison:

lol, here in sunny Sheffield we've had about 15 inches since Monday night, with more heavy snow forecast for tonight and all day tomorrow. yay!!!! By far the worst snow I've ever experience, and I think some of the worst in the region for summat like 100 years...

Well here is my car after the other night's snow and my back garden.

The last photo is an icicle I managed to get by leaning out of the window and break off my guttering. It was just over 2 foot long before then broke off.

Its not that bad once you get onto main roads, as they have been gritted but where I live the road is not gritted due to it not been classed as a priority road - gits.

Were pretty much cut off in the direction of Sheffield, due to both roads going that way, the Snake pass and the Woodhead, are snowed under but that happens most winters.

I tell you, this county aint cut out for this amount of severe weather

You know every time I watch that scene I wonder how this is at all possible. The guy's been in the Kriegsmarine for years, and presumably has spent quite a good bit of that time in the North Sea, the Baltic, and northern Germany (since, you know, that's where the ports are).

Even assuming there's been no snow in the part of France where he's now stationed, it's autumn 1941 so he couldn't have been operating out of one of the French ports for more than a year or so.

How is it possible that he hasn't seen snow "in years"?

I had snow last Thursday, but probably won't see anything else for at least a month. Getting some serious rain today, though. No cycling for me.
