Congratulations, Kpt. Lehmann. I too got face-to-face with a long lost love in July this year. Hadn't seen her in like 25 years. (yeah, puppy love, but who cares) I moved out of town, and later she too. Boy did it feel like an earthquake going through my body actually seeing her again. The meeting was at an awkward moment and hasn't come to anything yet, probably because her life is in a bit of a rough spot right now and I live in another town. We'll see what the year brings. .... Anyway, this is just my way of saying I can relate.

As for her parents, somehow their stance doesn't reflect the expression "make love, not war". I hope for you two they see that sooner rather than later.
