How about CPU ? This game is not so CPU intensive, but it's still a big big factor in performance usually.
I play Rise of flight mostly now , and the Windows 7 - dual core combination is terrible for performance. BTW, the $300 wasn't a waste because you now have a good card for other games ! Good move.

My CPU is a E6850 overclocked to 3.41Ghz and my GFX card is a GTX285 ... And all i can i say is that the frame rate is sluggish. Ive seen it dropping to 30fps at times. I can't understand it. I can play Crysis with everything maxed out, on 1920x1200 with 2x antialising, and still have a smooth framerate, and this game here runs slow. It is even more obvious inside the submarine pen. That's bad programming i guess.
