I opened up on the cruisers from about 4500-5000m and it was getting dark (or getting light, I can't remember).

Lots of shooting but I don't think they ever hit me. Or if they did it was minor damage. I, on the other hand, manually manning the gun, chewed them up pretty good before I had to run for it!

Sank one of these a few patrols back in a night surface attack.
The scary thing is, I didn't realise it was a Q ship until I checked my patrol report in Commander.

I remember the searchlights coming on, then switching off again, but no return fire.
Guess my eel must have hit a sweet spot, because I got the 'She's going down' message, just after the lights came on.

lol I know eh, I meant the Aux cruiser though. I downloaded that q-ship mod but don't ever expect to see one, but if I do I bet i'll fall for it because I sink tramp steamers all the time with the deck gun and occasionally the 37mm but this time around they seemed to have forgot to give me one (a 37mm)
I just switched to a VIIC it's 28/02/1941 shouldn't I have one?

Yeah I did do that and it says the 37mm came out in 39 and it's 41 now:

Now you only need a Type IXB or better
