I used this for both my radio and gramophone and they both work fine:

Code:
[Cmd561]
Name=Toggle_Activate_UserRadio
Contexts=1
Key0=0x54,,"T"

[Cmd562]
Name=Toggle_Activate_Gramophone
Contexts=1
Key0=0x47,,"G"
Just make sure that the keys I used are not in use somewhere else in you commands.cfg file.

The radio play files randomly from a folder (typically music) but also plays certain files (typically news broadcasts) at a predetermined date and time. People have made entire "Radio Stations" available for download that give you the feeling of listening to a radio station of the era throughout the whole war.

They are a must have IMHO. Check them out in the SH4 Mods forum, these are especially good: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...ighlight=radio

Yeah, that is what my many GBs are made of lol. I have British and German stations for early in the war. US ones that will play music and kick into news casts in '41. Not sure how the news stuff will go.

Thanks for the heads up. BTW, the new UI mod has also added the radio back at the click of a button

I tested it with one scripted event from the BBC radio and it worked, seems that nothing has changed on that front. I wonder if Radio Station Manager will work?

And yes I'm really excited about that new UI mod but I didn't have time to check it out yet, that's next on my list. Glad to hear the radio button works!

I used to sit in real time for hours listening to the radio broadcast mods in shiv, was fascinating to hear how the same events were relayed at the time in different countries.

I tried it out and it seems to work. It can use the save games in SH5. I haven't reached a "news" event date yet so don't know if this apsect works.

I tried this and mapped these functions on unused keys,b ut it did not work. I press these keys in the game and nothing happens. I did install the Mod "Grossdeutscher Rundfunk" before, but I do not hear a thing.

Any ideas, please??

cheers

Hello!

I managed to enable gramophone but how do I start Userradio playback? Can anyone help he?

I enabled it in the command.cfg like this:

Quote:
[Cmd561]
Name=Toggle_Activate_UserRadio
Contexts=1
Key0=0x54,,"T"
I installed the "Grossdeutscher Rundfunk" Radio mod, but I do not know how to play it or change channels.

cheers
Marc

gramophone isn't going to do what you want to do. You have to show the user radio for this.

How do I "show" the user radio? I really don't know how that works or what you mean by "showing" it. Sorry

Ok, this is how it looks in my command.cfg now:

Quote:
[Cmd561]
Name=Toggle_Activate_UserRadio
Contexts=1
Key0=0x54,,"T"
Isn't UserRadio supposed to "show" when pushing T then?
