Welcome to the game and to the forum.
You will find that Silent Hunter III turns out to be more like a hobby than a game.

Have fun, and if you have questions about the game, search this forum. There is a lot of knowledge here. If you have something new to ask, feel free!!

An excellent decision roboid you will not regret it,welcome to the board, say good bye to your parents friends and extended family and any social life you may of had!now the U-boat bug has bitten your life will never be the same again
There is no know cure, but then again, none of us are looking for it! Are playing the stock standard version of the game, you may want to download one of the excellent supermods that are avaible. GWX is the big favourate at the moment, a new and final update is being worked upon as we speak.

Welcome aboard, don't be afraid to ask questions, just have a look at the stickys for answers for most of the F.A.Q.'s There is also a good community manual to get you started as well.

No problem with starforce, even with Vista (although I did have to upgrade it for Vista - no surprise there).
