I went "ooh neat" at the scope animation the first day I bought sh4. Haven't noticed it since. Is it really not in now? Weird, I wonder why it would be removed/broken.

Sorry I can't help.

Default Nope no animation inside of the boat

sucks big time because with the camera mod that came out that let you ride it up and also see part of the radar pannels was great I use to do it every time I was dving and raising the scope.

You sure about that? The animation from ^within^ the conning tower no longer works in 1.3.

Conning tower or Control room, the scopes animation works for me in the Control room, patched to 1.3, ( offical ) no mods, not sure about the conning tower, or could you mean the control room.

[ EDIT ] I see, conning towers got it too, you learn something new every day

The missing animations appeared because we re-exported some interiors to add new labels and such items for the radar and hydrophone stations.

So mostly it affects the CTs, but for the S-class it affects the Command Room.

Could it be fixed "manually" or are you guys working on a hot fix?

Regards!

To be totally honest, until reading these posts, I didn't even know the scopes were animated. Since I'm not installing the patch until the updated RFB is released, I decided to have a peek. All I could say is, this must be fixed! It was totally cool to watch the scopes raise, and the handles snap into position I hope it's repaired soon. Nice feature there.

Had a really fast look at the sub.dat files in hexed, and I think this needs a proper dev hotfix. Its all reshuffled compared to 1.2.
