The only HP printers that support was discontinued for are seven years old or older, so yours is probably fine, aaronblood.

Incidently, where in Palm Beach are you? I'm in Boynton currently.

@Tak:
He was referring to the poll which stands at 9 to 3, or a 3:1 ratio.

EDIT: STOOD*

I voted yes pretty much for the reasons put forth by Subman.

Silent Hunter 3 runs fine on Vista, I wouldn't run Vista under 2gigs of Ram, you can but my opinion i wouldn't recommend it. Your find some programs run better on Vista even old software than they did on XP.

You could go for XP Pro 64bit. I did that when I got a new processor. Not a huge difference for the things I do, but now the cpu stopped whispering to me "please get a 64bit os".

Cheers Porphy

Do you have it? Have you tried it? Or are you just saying that?

No big problems with vista, except SH4 ----> CTD. So I'm running with a seperate WIN-XP installation. The game works perfect in XP

One of my mates just switched BACK to XP.

Personally, I have enough problems with XP64. I don't need Vista 64bit to make it worse.

*mumbles about drivers for my pedals.

Bad news will come of choosing vista, my family's computer has vista and is kinda of slow and just yesterday dad was playing SH III and the computer suddenly restarted, it's never done it before I blame that damn vista! People are now also asking the computer shops to put on XP instead of vista.

Vista is made for Satan himself! Which means Satan is very bad at choosing between wanting a slow computer with a cool looking start bar, or, a fast/er computer with a not so cool start bar.:hmm:

Point made!

When actual MS employees that work on the OS don't like it, you know it's probably not the best OS they have ever released. I have friends that work on that project, and even though they don't hate it, they make comments like "well its Vista" in sarcastic ways. That tells me more than anything about how good an OS it is.

XP and 2000 were way better upgrades.

I do have the Saitek X52 FCS which I really like...

Do they have compat drivers for XP64? ...or should I just not even bother.
