You have to add the ROW special effects and textures on top of triger maru
Quote:
Then apply them after The triger maru install and that will fix one problem you might be having from looking at your order of install on your JSGME picture. Also with Sober's permission we added his better mountain mod to our's so you do not need that with ROW textures. |

I have to say that your mod is awsome. It has done alot for the reality of the war. Its alot harder to find ships to sink and makes the game more enjoyable. Makes every sinking more appreacitive and less of just sinking everything one runs into.

If you sink them they stop zig zagging . In all reality, learn to sink them when they zig zag. This is what they did to frustrate the sub commanders. Looks like it is working

Thank you lurker!!!
I am loaded as follows:
OK so it looks like Trigger Maru should move back to the second position (back in numerical order there!). It was moved to test intro movie stuff. The game runs incredibly and looks much better than last version of ROW. Your campaign stuff is looking great! I am having no problem finding targets and am now attacking a convoy of about 5 merchies protected by 3 escorts, something I haven't seen for ages in naked Trigger Maru. One item is not to my liking though, although there is tradeoff here. Ducimus gets around the International Dateline bug by starting you west of Midway if you are based at Pearl and select to start outside the harbor. I think that's a great workaround and would like to see it working in the combination setup. Other than that it's all good! Lurker, you've pulled off the first supermod here. Now if you modders could get together to release it and maintain it as such, a single mod which installs itself correctly and in the correct order, we have a work of genius.

I assume when you are ordered to an area there is some target set to be in said area. My first asiatic patrol went ok, found a few sunk a few. Second patrol utter failure. Patrolled areas I was ordered to and spent time sinking sampans and such. Over 2k of little guys. Not one merchant ship anywhere. Retired on return to Fremantle. Am I missing targets due to the slow speed of my little s-class, or are some of these patrols areas/mission objectives just goose chases? Little sugar boats just dont have the legs early on to run around too much.

I'm using RSRD for RFB 1.31. I'd posted over there about the oddly premature mission objective orders I was getting before installing RSRD, when I started my career on December 1st but kept getting war missions before the war started. I then loaded up RSRD, and I noted that you had skirted the "premature patrol orders" issue with RSRD by simply having every patrol start after the war has started (I know it says you start December 6th, but by the time you actually report to duty it's already the 7th, and the "we're at war" video plays), and so all your mission orders make sense. There wasn't all that much point to starting a week before the outbreak of hostilities anyway (though it was a good way to do some weather testing without worrying about enemies for a few days), so that solution works OK with me.
However, is there some sort of logic built into the RSRD campaign such that it gives you a new patrol objective every time you radio in a status report? As you can see, I've been at sea about 8 or 9 days, and I've been inundated with patrol orders: As far as I can tell/remember, it really has been the case that every time I radio in a status report, I get another order to go somewhere else and do something else. Kinda makes me wish for something a little simpler and more direct ("Be more aggressive!" comes to mind ) It does make me wonder, now that I've actually sighted and sunk a couple or three ships during this test patrol - is there any logic in the game to send any sort of congratulatory message when you report a new sinking, instead of (or in addition to) another patrol objective message? I suspect that in the early war days it probably wasn't uncommon to be getting a lot of changing orders, so maybe this is normal, but it seems pretty wierd. I do really like the actual order messages though - very much better than the ones I was getting before.
