SSP, input a number that gives nice cliffs. Just finished constructing the floor plans for a two story house (with basement) at the summit of a bluff. Go to finish the roof and.. no go.

Check things out.. turns out I'm at height=129...

Donno if I should tear it down or leave it with no roof. But fack it was nice..I'll post pics if I can get the energy to do so

Black screen crashes exist in single player as well.

You trying any mods? or.. Is it black screen on load up? Or are you getting CTDs?

No mods.

The screen goes black, and Minecraft stops responding.

It usually happens when walking around. This time to my surprise, in a new world while exploring.

I thought it was just a multiplayer issue. I haven't played single player for quite a while, must be months now. I think it was some alpha version when I played single player last time.
