Very easy here to accuse someone and get a record without followup especially for guys. Laws favor local woman here.

But if that time would come and I was put into that situation I would give her and him a good wacking.

I agree with Wolfehunter here. All kids have to do today is cry abuse. Dad is on his way to lock up and pychogical help. Have a kid dial 911 like my brother-in-law did when he was a kid was all it took. Cops will come and you will be labelled. I'll be honest here. My daughter is a small kid. She is basically a year behind in growth as compared to other kids in her age. To help ease her mind my wife and I scheduled an appointment at John Hopkins here in Baltimore with a leading authority on child growth. During the visit, the doctor was looking for signs of abuse and malnutrition. She was looking for ribs showing, etc. All test were taken, blood, height, weight, etc. All test came back as a normal girl with typical hormon levels for her age and she is just a small person. Heck, my wife is 4 foot 6. We are not big people. My daughter was fine after the visit. I was aghast with the doctor looking for abuse. She thought I did not notice. My dad was a doctor and I read most of his books and new the method of operation in a possible abuse case. This doctor performed that method. You know, if the doctor determined my wife and I were starving our kid, our butts would be in the slammer.

AWH, I am sorry about what you and your better half had to go through. MD's, social workers, teachers, police & fire, etc, are mandatory reporters. Most states adopted certain laws about reporting child abuse. It's a noble cause given to ignorant folk who have never had a child.

System maybe noble but it does as much damages as it does good. When their wrong how hard is it for a family to prove it? I know I'm talking from experiance.

My wife is disabled. She has certain mobile limitations. So when our daughter came to this world we where excited. Happiest time in my life turn not long after that to the worst 2 and a half years or torment and torture.

Hospital offered a government service to aid my wifes recovery due the complicated birth. My wife was very sick after the birth. I refused the help because I don't trust the government Through past experiences. I also have some level of medical training so I know how to take care of her. But with the aid of my mother in law pushing my wife to get help I was overruled.

So 2 1/2 years these social service people where monitoring and profiling us while they where suppose to help her. They didn't have a problem with me..but my wife. They assumed she was retarded or simply slow. This isn't true. My wifes mind is sharp even better than mine. Her body is sick and weak. Plus she had the post pardon depression and sickly recovery to deal with.

Real issue was they wanted to stop the service because the Government thinking changed and they didn't have the money to continue the so called help. Their quick solution was to force parents to put their kids in daycare. Daycare in my province is dangerous. Not all are bad but most have major problems. Also my daughter started a blood condition that made her white blood count low. We had to quarantine my daughter from sick people because they could kill her. We refused daycare. They didn't want my wife alone to raise her child. So their threatened us and was going to in an extreme way take our child away. We had doctors letters proving our daughter conditions. Still they tried to fight us.

I busted my a$$ at work and at home daily non stop. I even had an escape route planned to leave the country should it get ugly. How many nights I didn't sleep? How many days I wait for the call? How many days my wife delt with prying eyes watcher every move waiting for her to screw up and give them the excuse? Everybody close to me knew was ready to help.

Fortunate we had friends in the system who knew us and fought for our cause. Some of them where the social workers who helped my wife. But the guys higher ups didn't care it was about numbers. They wanted a quick resolve.

I argued against them every 2nd week with their reports and profiling. They had a book that was used for reference to determine the level of our child's development.

Every 2 weeks our daughter had to prove she could do the things in it. My daughter was our savior. Every time she shut them up. She proved them wrong. It wasn't me or my wife or all the help we had that won the day. It was my daughter. She somehow knew. So when they finally left the last time I had the meeting with them. They ask me did our service help us? I laughed so hard I cried. I told them to F-off and slammed the door never looking back.

Funny thing is they where suppose to help my wife so she could recover. All they did was take years off our lives. Noble system my a$$.

Problem with the system its not perfect and shouldn't be their. How many cases they miss? How many cases they really save? How many cases are true or lies?

I don't know? Its run by people who think their above the law and can do what they want. Because their human and fallible.

Reason I'm here writing this is because my daughter was keen. Or I would be dead or and outlaw now.

My daughter is 5 now and shes doing good in school and healthy.
