Its not all that hard
Go into your Silent Hunter III folder, open up Data, then emblems, and then SubEmblems. You will see a ton of .tga files. You will need photoshop to create a .tga. My advice, is create a .tga with the same dimensions as any of the emblems you see, save it, and place it in the folder. No reason that should not work that I know of
