Hi,you should be able to just drop it into c:/program files/ubisoft/silenthunterIII/data/sound
(You might want to back up your original)
It's a .wav file so it should work or you might need the correct codec.

Assuming it's not codec related, change the sound setting from your game options panel.

The sound file you have d/l is definitely recorded at a high enough audible level.

I have now downloaded that great sound and I will hopefully get the chance to open the tubes in anger soon

Alright thanks for the advice I will tinker with the game sound option.

I'm not playing with GWX though. Could that be it?

It is not GWX related because:

a) Your obviously not playing GWX

b) The door sound definitely works in the GWX mod

It's wierd , I cant get " val de prova submarin" to work on any carnations of sh3 on 7b's ......From stock to GWX 2.1; upgraded pc twice....stranger things happen at sea. Someone from ubi mentioned this many moons ago..any devs got an answer?
I KNOW THERE'S SOME SOUNDMEN OUT THERE....
