90 years? Is there some meat left? Or since it's a blue blood person, the meat will last longer? Damn, I must be a walking disease man, after all, I manage to study bones of persons that died from lepra, tuberculosis, plague and they were about 150 to 200 years old...

I know, I know, but from 90 to 150/200 years ago, there's some difference...

It's not about meat, it is about the virus. Handling it is not more and not less dangerous than handling Ebola or some biological weapons in an isolated Cat-5 biological security laboratory. If the virus is still there (which is absolutely possible, since these nasty suckers are really good at "surviving") it makes much sense to put it under the magnifier to see what it is made of.

The great pandemic will come. the question is not if, but when. And due to modern transportation, it will be a real nasty mess if we are not prepared for it. so what they are doing in no way is a foolish act.
