I don't understand. The damage screen shows 2 engines and electric motors each damaged (or is it destroyed?). You still have 2 more of each.

Just one of the goofy things in this game.

Even though you have 4 engines, the game engine considers them as two.

Get two of em... any two... wiped out its game over.

The full red bars illustrate they are beyond repair.

Ah, I see. I didn't know that. Thanks for the clarification.

I guess I don't get the 10 points?

Well, In actuality, here's your real problem- both electric engines are out. The boat is driven by the electrical engines. The diesels do NOT drive the shafts directly, they run generators that run the electric motors and or charge the batteries.

So- if you lose both electrics, but still have the diesels- you ain't going nowhere as the motors that drive the props- the electric ones, are shot.

That's what elanaiba meant when he said you lost the engines that matter- he wasn't talking about the diesels.

Well at least you have 2 diesels left to power the rest of the electrical system, so you can still have ice cream while you drift with the current.

Maybe so in real life but in the game its been my experience that if you lose both electrics your still okay, lose both diesels and your screwed.

You can go a little ways on the electrics but without the diesels to recharge the batteries its a short trip.

In real life you should be able to at least move and manuver with only one engine / motor running. In the pic I still had two diesels and two electrics supposedly in operating condition. However we could not move.
